How do you calculate the amount of the TQSE that is available to rent furniture? Do you have a sense of how much that amount generally is?
I would like to take advantage of the furniture rental and subsequent purchase at liquidation to replace a lot of items that we sold, rather than put into long term storage. However, that means we may be moving into an empty temporary place while waiting on delivery from storage for the items we did keep. Do you have an option to have at least the basic rental furniture delivered on day one?
Would we be able to plan our furnishings before we pack out from post?
When does the clock start on temporary housing versus home leave? Meaning, would I have to start my new assignment the next work day after relocating to DC, for example, in order to qualify for TQSE? Or can I move to the temp housing while still in home leave status (and have it covered) before starting the actual job?
How long would we be able to stay in the rental before it is classified as long-term housing?
Does it matter if Eligible Family Members (EFMs) arrive on the exact same date as the employee? Would it impact per diem if they arrive a day or two later?
