If you are hospitalized for delivery, you will be authorized lodging only (no MI&E) not to exceed two days for a non-surgical delivery and not to exceed three days for a surgical delivery; however, per diem for newborns is excluded during periods of hospitalization (16 FAM 301.1-7(B); New Parent Guide p. 40, 41).
